Belt Conveyor Scraper: See how the Vale team identified a fault using Dynamox technology

On June 12, 2024, the maintenance team from Vale, in Brucutu, installed TcAs sensors on the primary and secondary scrapers of this belt conveyor.

The mission was to verify the efficiency of the technology in identifying defects or potential faults in the component.

Scraper fault identification

On April 16th at 1 PM, a change in the vibration of the asset was noticed in the Dynamox solution graphs. On the same day, at 10 PM, there was a vibration peak, marking the moment of the suspension failure.

After contacting the scraper manufacturer (HOSCH Company) to perform maintenance, the Tripper Conveyor resumed operation with stable vibration levels, as we can see in the graph below:
